Flying Finance

Neely Edwards wants to marry Lilian Hackett. Her father insists that money is the root of all unhappiness and won't give his approval unless he gets rid of all his money. So he goes to a small town in Kansas that gets blown away by tornadoes every year, and buys every building. Then up comes Mack Swain. He's Edwards' cousin. He insists that Edwards' money in actually his. Then this year's tornado hits.

Both men are overwhelmed by the compositions and major gags, like donkeys perched atop barns. This is a bit of a disappointment because Swain was one of the great scene-stealers of silent comedy. If you look at this, you may be reminded of the cyclone sequence in Keaton's STEAMBOAT BILL JR. However, this is far more cartoonish.
