Peekaboo

I do not know what film the people who ranked this film so highly saw, but I apparently saw a different film. Not that it was all bad, it did not go where I was expecting, however the payoff was weak. I also found the little girl in this film incredibly annoying. The story has a mom and dad going to dinner out. They have called the babysitter and everything is ready to go. The mother seems nervous, but the dad assures her that they have a dog that will bark if anything happens and the best babysitter on the block. Well everything seems status quo at first as the little girl wants to play, but the babysitter makes her clean her room first on orders from the mom. Then after awhile the sitter checks on the girl and is surprised to find the room is in fact clean. Something seems off about the room and most people will notice what it is rather quickly. Anyways the mom calls and the babysitter makes a comment that makes the mom panic and tell her to take herself and the daughter and head on out of the house. It ends in unremarkable fashion. To many plot holes in this one. One, why wouldn't the mother tell the sitter about the potential threat from the get go? Two, how did something get into the house the first time and why did it need to knock on the door if it had powers or whatever. I don't know, it just did not impress me and the ending was anti-climatic. However, that is just my opinion perhaps others will find it as good as the ones who scored it higher.
