The director had a pretty good concept but I think the time period didn't work too well; it should have taken place pre-1970 with the old school mobsters or with modern day twilight zone Gotti (RIP)-wannabes. The local celebrity cameo's were pretty fun too. All-in-all it garnered a few laughs.
I happened to see this film at the Staten Island Film Festival and was sort of surprised about the technical problems they experienced during the premier. Besides the tiny screen, the speed of the audio was too fast causing the actors to sound as if they were sucking helium while shooting and sometimes didn't match up to the visual.
Ultimately I was able to appreciate the film being a lifetime "Staten Islander" myself, but I think non-New Yorkers would have a tough time following.
