It seems like trolling TV has replaced watching it as America's favorite pass-time. This show has so much to offer - just turn it on. I just started it to check it out, and before I knew it - I was at the end of episode 2! This show is excellently paced, with action, heart, and wry comedy throughout. It's also a rarity on American TV these days: a nuanced, human portrayal of a complex, divisive issue. Is it perfect? No, but its excellent performances give voice to many perspectives and start a real conversation. The show is a star vehicle for newcomers Emy Mena and George Pullar, introduces otherwise ignorant American audiences to Mexican and Colombian stars like Adriana Paz and Juan Pablo Raba, and of course, Michael Chiklis continues to cement his legacy as one of TV's best.
The shows has some inconsistent moments, but episode 5 is one of the best episodes of TV I've seen in a while, and the show ultimately sets itself up for a fantastic season 2. Did you like Fauda? Watch this show. Did you like Breaking Bad? Watch this show. If you're looking for six episodes of thoughtful high-quality premium television, then just watch the show.
