This movie was one of the most awaited and controversial movies of Iranian cinema that I was waiting for, a philosophical and mystical story that at the same time deals with war and its consequences, and also deals with a love story. ....
A complete and amazing movie, especially with the beautiful acting of Shahab Hosseini and Ibrahim Celikkol
.
The point that exists is that besides being one of the great Iranian mystics, Rumi and Shams are also among the great poets of Iran. I think their poems should have been used more as a dialogue.
This movie had the ability to be made at least as a mini-series, pay attention, I say at least, because the story has the capacity of a long series, and I don't know why it was not made as a series.
In general, the editing work was good, the jumps to the past and present were well done.
The Farsi dubbing and dubbing of the Turkish actors was poorly done.
All in all, it was a great movie of Iranian and Turkish cinema. I definitely suggest you see it.
And finally, for a better understanding of Shams and Rumi's life, I suggest reading the book The Forty Rules of Love written by Elif safak.
