Lupin III: La Lampada di Aladino

If you are like me, you may look at the description and think that the idea of Lupin III getting a magic lamp doesn't fit in the Lupin III universe. Well, I can safely say, give this one a chance.

It is a film with a clever premise. Every time I think they may be going in one direction the movie takes a sharp turn and goes somewhere else. Just when I thought the movie is going to become "Memento" suddenly it changes to "Invasion of the Body Snatchers". As you read that description, you might think the movie is a bit all over the place...and you'd be right.

With the magic lamp, it did one thing the Dragon Balls couldn't do, and that was to make Garlic an interesting villain.
