Sex, Blood & Screams: The Make-up Effects (2009)
*** (out of 4)
Fun promotional piece for MY BLOODY VALENTINE has special effects man Gary Tunnicliffe talking about how some of the murders in the film were done. He talks about how they knew they'd be mixing practical effects with CGI so he talks about a few of the deaths in the film including the pick-fork to the skull, a head being cut off as well as one dealing with a heart being ripped out. Fans of the film or those just interested in how special effects are done will enjoy this 6-minute piece. I thought Tunnicliffe was a lot of fun playing the host and hearing how the magic tricks were done was quite interesting. Just being able to see how realistic the "puppets" were was quite amazing.
