I've been going through the Disney Plus short film section, in alphabetical order and have landed on this; "Calling All The Monsters" by a band called Thriii. At the time I was unaware as to why this music video was on here, but a bit of subsequent research has explained it for me.
Three women attend an unusual Halloween party where they are accosted by various dancing monsters.
So, the research has pointed out to me that this song is a rerecord of the original, which the singer, China Anne McClain recorded a decade earlier when McClain was the star of the Disney Channel series "A. N. T Farm". Because "ANT Farm" begins with an "A" I have actually watched a couple of episodes as part of my alphabetical trawl through the shows it has. Whilst I am about as far from the shows target audience as it's possible to be, it's fair to say that I tolerated, rather than liked the two episodes I made it through. It is, however, nice to learn that McClain is still going and still part of the Disney family.
I did not like this song either though, I'm afraid. Again, it's not for me, which is fine, and I do think it's fairer to say that it's not to my taste rather than it being something that I think is actually bad. I could appreciate more in the choreography of the dancing a little more but again it's not something that I'm particularly interested in.
God bless 'em for living their dreams, but I hope there aren't anymore music videos in this section.
