Working in ex-lover Herschel Savage's bar, June is understandably cynical about life and the unrewarding experiences she's had, with her voice-over lament adding poignancy to the story. Absence of a credit for screenplay here is a mistake, as Jess or whoever else wrote the script did a fine job.
