Okay, I completely understand that this movie may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was probably the funniest and most charming Hallmark movies I have ever seen. It totally breaks the mold of most hallmark movies, with just enough tried and true tropes to satisfy dedicated Hallmarkies.
If you love British and Irish period dramas, watch this! I found lots of actors that I had seen in other things- most of whom who were in this movie prior to some break out role. The main lead Liz in this movie is wonderful and clearly this was going to be her first and last Hallmark before she heads on to the big leagues. She is so likeable- even while playing a colder, career-conscious doctor. I really enjoyed her in this film. Also teenage Ellie had me laughing out loud. She has some hilarious one-liners that stole some scenes for me.
Stick with the whole movie. You'll be glad you did and I can't wait to watch this one again next year!
