Something that "Geocentric Crisis" did well, was that it threw the audience into the action right from the very beginning. The movie starts off in a very nice way, which definitely sets the tone of the movie right from the start.
The storyline in "Geocentric Crisis" was straight forward and entertaining. Sure, it was a somewhat stereotypical storyline for a movie such as this, but it proved still to be enjoyable and entertaining. So director Xia Banchang managed to pull it off well enough and deliver a wholesome movie.
It is a fast paced narrative, and the movie feels like it is in top gear and running at all engines throughout the entire 70 minutes that it ran for. It was good, because director Xia Banchang was able to keep that pace from start to end.
I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list in "Geocentric Crisis". But it should be noted that they definitely had a good cast ensemble, with adequately talented actors and actresses to bring the characters and storyline to life on the screen.
Visually, then I have to say that "Geocentric Crisis" is quite good, and definitely among some of the better rendered CGI and realistic looking CGI in many of the recent gargantuan monster movies (or creature features) that China has been spewing out in recent years. I liked the design of the reptilian creatures, that I have to admit.
If you enjoy a good old fashioned creature feature with giant oversized monsters, lizards in the case of this 2023 movie, then by all means give "Geocentric Crisis" a chance. I did so, and I was definitely more than adequately entertained.
My rating of director Xia Banchang's 2023 movie "Geocentric Crisis" lands on a six out of ten stars.
