My introduction with the 'Monkey island' was back in 2009, when 'Tales' came out. It was fine, but what got me really into the series were the two special editions for the first games, that came out about the same time. From the very witty dialog, creative puzzles, lovable characters and iconic music, that all came down one memorable experience. Since then I became a fan of both this series and Ron Gilbert, and played many of his other games afterwards. After a long departure from point & click adventures, he came back with a bang and released 'theemblweed park' in 2017, a game that I really liked as well. So of course I was very excited to hear that he's going to release a brand new 'Monkey island' game, the expectations were high, and well, I'm glad to say they were met and then some. The witty dialog, creative puzzles, lovable characters and iconic music are all back, alongside a brand new animation design which I reluctant to at first back grew to living in time, a very accessible and convenient interface (Which might be the best one I saw I a Point & click adventure), and even a series of trivia questions that make things fresh. The ending is also great, at least for me. Highly recommended!
