After reading all of the books in the series, my four year old an I were excited to go to the movie theater to see the film. For the most part, he liked it a lot - when not loving it. From a four year old's eyes, this is a great break from Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam, closer to the recent Paw Patrol-movies in entertainment value.
The much hyped song "Badebussen" was toned down a bit to make room for sound effects - but nonetheless, the whole theater was singing along.
As an adult I would appreciate the movie a lot more if there weren't so many awkward pauses in the dialogue. The performers themselves are doing alright jobs - the Troll is great, but some other characters feel unnecessary. The crows, the whole scene on the bridge - the timing is way of.
The movie is at it's peak when many things are happening at the same time, and it's nice to get a diversion from just what's happening when they get to the theme park - but the ride there is way too long. It felt like the movie's finale was near from the second we got of the bus.
With that in mind, the songs are memorable ("Alt går an på badeland" is a refreshing song with a different style), the plot is alright, but the pacing is way of. The four year old is excited to see it again when it becomes streamable, and, I kinda am too.
