Eventyrland

I like good beginnings in a film, this has a great one. Before the opening credits roll, Jenny, the lead character, is having a quiet date with Gary, her boyfriend, on the shores of a picturesque Norwegian body of water. She mentions casually that she is pregnant. Gary tells her that he expected so, and pulls out a nice engagement ring from his pocket. Her response is "Where did you steal this from?" This sets the tone of the movie.

This is a very visual film which covers a complicated plot in 90 minutes with a minimum of dialog. For this reviewer the biggest drawback is the title. Neither the American title or the Norwegian title "Eventryland" is very descriptive. Actually its hard to think of a good title, you will just have to watch the film.
