Unpopular Opinion Obviously - But I liked the drama.
Starting with the drama name : Barzakh is an Arabic word meaning "obstacle", "hindrance", "separation", or "barrier". I suppose this is why it was named this instead of any religious reasons.
The whole drama is like an abstract drawing - and I think not everyone will understand what is being portrayed. Maybe even I may have missed some deeper meanings to some scenes.
But the ones I understood were amazing.
What I understood from the drama was :
No matter how much we try or run away or transform ourself. We end up being like our parents and the atmosphere we are brought up in will have an effect on our being.
Those childhood traumas remain hidden inside us and define the grown up we eventually become.
We are all carrying baggage around which we need to keep down in order to move on.
We need to go back to our roots to understand some things (I suppose those red ropes they climb)
Some people just want love from us - nothing more
And some people are unfortunately just not capable to give love - to any one around them.... Sadly ...
Then of course there was the prepartum depression that was addressed - very depressing to watch - but that's a reality too..
And I think those empty pages that rained down on them meant that the story unfolds as we live on. We write our chapters with our actions. And life is ever changing as was said in the drama.
So all in all - a deep one. Confusing one. Not everyone's cup of tea.
Im sure there are more stuff I may have missed to notice or write about. But it was a good watch.
And in the end - Fawad khan is love, Sanam Saeed dialogue delivery is amazing. The elder brother and fathers acting was too good. The child actor was really good as well.
