Another mediocre Reel One Entertainment TV movie about fictional European royalty. Technically is mostly fine. The only semi-serious issue is that movie was obviously shot in Hamilton pretending to be Manhattan. However, the usage of the stock NYC footage was minimal compared to the excessive use in the past few years in the many ROE TV movies.
Cast is passable. I never watched Anna Hopkins before. She was convincing. Ryan Bruce not so much. I liked Dianne Aguilar, and Ed Pinker as he's a real Brit.
What ruined this TV movie for me is writing. In the first half, I seriously tought this is some kind of parody about European royalty. After all, prince has Freddie name (what?!), and basically nothing can be taken seriously. Still passable, but around the half, movie started to take itself seriously. The only good thing is that Anna Hopkins killed as Nina for the all wrong reasons which is obviously not her fault. Act III is a one giant insult.
Just watch trailer to save your valuable free time as this is ROE, and for some reasons it reveals the whole movie.
