People calling this propaganda have a hard time distancing themselves from their own opinions and beliefs. It depicts the situation FROM ANKERS PERSPECTIVE! He is the literal narrator of the series, so of course you're gonna get his views and opinions, that they have dug out from a lot of sources from his personal life, and the people around him.
Also, it is mentioned to Anker several times that the state is running a deficit, and we see him do nothing about it. How can this be so called "glorified view" of Anker, when his lack of resolve and competence is shown so clearly?
Also I did not find it confusing, the way it was edited to include original film in between. As a Dane who knows the characters, it was pretty straight forward...
To sum up I thought it was a decent narrative and as a mini drama series, based on true events, I find it pretty well made, and it encapsulates the years from the perspective of Anker himself. I believe it shows a man who wants to do good, but lacked the competence to actually do so.
