Black, White, and Blue is a student film that was filmed in January 2014 at Western Carolina University from their award winning Film and Television Program. It tells the story of college student athlete Sarah Downing (Emily Pears) and her sink into depression. If you've ever yourself dealt with a period in your life where you didn't think there is anyone you could talk to or anyway to be happy this film will strike a cord with you. You enter directly into her world and get to experience her struggle and how it effects the people closest to her in her own life, some of whom don't remotely understand. With conflicting opinions coming from family, friends, coaches, and psychiatrist Sarah is quite literally in the fight for her young life.
It literally premiered 6 days ago as I write this so I don't want to reveal too much but if you see a chance to see this film at any upcoming festivals you won't regret it.
