During a role-playing game, Debbie says that she will "cast Magic Missile to attack the darkness." This is a reference to the "Dungeons and Dragons" sketch by comedy group The Dead Alewives, in which an inept player is desperate to cast Magic Missile in a dark cavern even though there is no enemy around to fight; in response, and to the amusement of all other players, he proclaims, "I attack the darkness!" It's notable that this sketch is a parody of the same religious backlash against role-playing games that the Jack Chick tract "Dark Dungeons" was based in.

Can't believe this craps allowed in this day and age

Demonising fear mongering and hate spreading. Suicide over an RPG game? That's disgusting. It's one thing for a man out of time to spout that nonsense. Back in the masogonistic prehistoric era of racism and homophobia. But now?.. is no one safe. Can't even leave gamers alone?
