Sherlock Holmes - The Game's Afoot!
This particular detective needs no introduction. My favourite Holmes, is still Basil Rathbone after all these years. In addition, there have been other portrayals which are noteworthy: Douglas Wilmer, Jeremy Brett, Ian Richardson, Peter Cushing and Christopher Plummer.
