Artist Steve Childs has been painting, sketching and photographing dancers for more than twenty-five years. Now, as an independent filmmaker, he is directing a documentary film that has been a dream of his for many years. This film, titled And We Will Dance, allows you to peek into the invisible world behind the curtain - the inspiring lives of a handful of talented dancers from the North Carolina School of the Arts from dorm life to dance studios, audition to final performance. Follow their collaboration in classrooms, dressing rooms, to the stage. Hear these extraordinary young athletes' stories in their own voices, as they are consumed by the need to express themselves physically through dance. This is the first, very early release of the films trailer. We began this film project back in February 2008 and are currently in the post-production stage.
