After his family is murdered by a notorious and ruthless bandit, a former police officer enlists the services of two outlaws to capture the bandit.

Two brothers go after the international mafia kingpin who murdered their cop brother. They are later joined by another man who wants revenge against the gangster.

Shera lives a poor lifestyle in Bombay along with his widower dad, a retired school-teacher, and is love with his neighbor, Sapna, who he hopes to marry some day. Shera wants to get rich quickly, but unable to get a job, decides to take to crime and works with a gangster, Jaggu. He soon gets arrested, tried in Court, found guilty, and sentenced to jail for several months. When he is released he returns home to find that Sapna has befriended a lawyer, Avinash Prakash. Shortly thereafter Shera's father is informed that Shera has been arrested again, this time for abducting and killing Revati Prasad, the daughter of wealthy Dharam Prasad. Sapna and Shera's dad approach Avinash for assistance, and he agrees to do so little knowing that he, Shera and Sapna are mere pawns in a deadly game that is being played by the editor and owners of the Morning News publication who are always, quite deceptively, first with crime news, and one of their future headlines is going to announce the sudden deaths of this trio!

Wealthy businessman Inderjeet marries a lovely woman named Gayetri, but is unhappy with this marriage, as she is unable to bear him any children. He starts frequenting brothels, where he meets with an attractive prostitute by the name of Sitara. Both get intimate, and Sitara becomes pregnant. When Gayetri finds out, she is enraged and will do anything in her power to prevent Sitara continuing to dominate Inderjeet's love. Before she could take any steps, Inderjeet dies in an plane accident, leaving Sitara alone and pregnant. Gayetri conspires against Sitara, invites her over, makes sure she gives birth, then tells her that the child was still-born. A devastated Sitara leaves to continue with her life, leaving Gayetri to bring up her son, Sunny, as her own. Years later, Sunny has grown up, has met with an attractive young woman named Amrita, who he would like to marry. When Gayetri finds out, she is initially happy, but relents when she finds out that Amrita is a dancer and singer on TV, and decides to oppose this marriage at all costs. But when Sunny adamantly refuses to marry anyone else, she permits Amrita's parents to meet with. It is this meeting that will change everything in Gayetri and Sunny's lives forever.

Maya, coming from poor family, is married to the affluent Dr. Anand; but she tries to commit suicide on the nuptial night. She tells Anand that she was in love with Prem whose ambition was to be a music director. He too was in love with her but thought she would not be happy as his wife. Anand tells Maya that he had married her only for his mother who was on her death bed. When the mother dies Anand wants to unite Prem and Maya but Prem says it is against Hindu culture and disappears from their life.

Arjun Malvankar after his graduation thrives to get job. The corruption and injustice taking place in his community frustrates him to the extent of revolting with the help of some of his friends. This path of his gets him into serious problems with the law and some outrageous gangsters. He is then taken in by a politician named Shivkumar Chowgule; who not only has pity on him but offers him a job and encourages him. Situations take a different turn one morning engulfing Arjun's life into a world of lies, deceit, crime and politics.

Mr. Malhotra has an only daughter named Seema. He would like Seema to marry Pawan, the son of Gautam. Seema is receptive to this, and even arranges to meet with Pawan. While traveling alone one day in the country side, Seema meets up with Vijay, and both fall in love. Unknown to both, Mr. Malhotra has been approached by an international smuggler Niranjan Das, who is impersonating Mr. Malhotra's childhood friend, and has asked for Seema's hand in marriage for his son Roopesh. Seema subsequently has an accident and loses her memory. She is looked after by Gautam, who will not let anyone, including Vijay, to come anywhere near Seema. And even if Seema's memory does return, she will have to consent to marrying Roopesh, her father's choice.

Based on the circa 2nd century BCE to 2nd Century CE, Sanskrit play "Daridra-Charudatta" by the famous Indian playwright Bhasa, "Utsav" faithfully follows Bhasa's story-line. Vasantasena, a courtesan who dances at the King Palaka's court hides in Charudatta's house while running away from the amorous attentions of the king's brother-in-law. She falls in love with Charudatta, though he is married and penniless. They have an affair. Meanwhile, the rightful heir to the throne - King Palaka's brother - escapes from prison. While he is being pursued by the king's troops, Charudatta helps him. The king's brother-in-law strangles Vasantasena when she refuses to submit to him and leaves her for dead. When Charudatta tries to have her jewels pawned, he is arrested for her murder. What happens to him and the other characters constitutes the final part of the film.

Karan then goes to live with his family. The motive for Karan to live here is merely to hide under Vijay's name until the police give up their manhunt for him. No one really notices the change in Vijay. Karan starts to frequent the nearby brothel run by Kammobai, and soon realizes that he can make a lot of money by selling young women to her. His first target that he intends to lure to Kammobai is none other than Radha, Vijay's sister. This is just one of the destructive methods he intends to employ in his new identity and there is no one who can dare to suspect nor stop him.

Shortly after Sultan and Khalid begins their fierce battle against each other - a battle between father and son - fully well knowing that only one shall survive.
