Zev Brenner
Zev Brenner is president and founder of Talkline Communications, America’s leading Jewish Radio and TV network. He founded the company back in 1981 and since then it has truly flourished. Zev Brenner has also helped launch Spanish TV network LTV and Russian Radio Channel New Life Broadcasting. This New York City native studied at the NYC Technical College of the City University. Soon after graduating, in 1988 he married Adena Karen Berkowitz, a well known lawyer and daughter of William Berkowitz, the national president of the American Jewish Heritage Committee. Zev Brenner and his wife still reside in NYC, along with their children.
In his show, this radio host addresses many important even controversial topics in the Jewish community. Many notable personalities and leading newsmakers such as New York’s Mayor Mike Bloomberg, former Soviet Premier Mikhail Gorbachev, President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senators Joseph Lieberman and Charles Schumer, Israeli Prime Ministers Benjamin Netanyahu, former Vice President Dan Quayle and many more, have so far been his guests. His mission and foremost goal is to expand the view of the Jewish Community, and forge the relations between Jews and other ethnic group. At the moment, Zev Brenner is the only Orthodox Jews in the United States who serves as a talk-show host.
Talkline with Zev Brenner, his flagship radio and television program has been broadcasting for over 30 years. Throughout his career he has received numerous awards, mostly for his efforts on behalf of the Jewish Community. Some of the awards he has received include the Journalism/Jewish Heritage Award from Kings County District Attorney Charles Hynes, the Hasbarah award from the Jewish Teachers Association, the Humanitarian Award from the International League for the Repatriation of Russian Jews, the Communications Award from the National Council of Young Israel, and The City Council of New York.
