When he returns to the raid in progress, he finds himself powerless to stop it. He dynamites the ant hill, but that only separates the ledge he's standing on, and he finds himself in the river again as the ants finish off a cupcake.

On June 12, 1983, a sub-orbital aircraft named the Spindrift flying from Los Angeles is pulled into a space warp which transports its crew and passengers into another dimension. The ship eventually lands on a planet where everything is 12 times larger than normal. In their first night on the planet they are attacked by a giant cat and two of their party, Captain Steve Burton and jet set heiress Valerie Scott, are captured by a pair of giant scientists but are eventually rescued by the rest of the castaways. Unfortunately, they soon realize that for the time being they are stuck on this strange world.

Meanwhile, a kitten orphan is left in a basket by the side of the pond; Julius discovers it and takes it skating with him, afterward taking it home to Alice. They name him Oscar, and Julius tries to give the brat a bath. He then feeds Oscar and teaches him some table manners.

The Seaview is sent to stop an active volcano from erupting and causing a catastrophe. Accompanying them is Dr. Turner who's suppose to help them. But it turns out he has a different plan and that is to make the volcano erupt so he can acquire something that will make him immortal.

This Traveltalk series entry visits various places around the United States. At the first stop, we admire the natural beauty of Crater Lake in Oregon. The next stop is the open pit copper mine at Bingham Canyon, Utah, the world's largest copper mine. We then spend several minutes in Hannibal, Missouri, the hometown of author Mark Twain. After a short visit to a log-rolling contest in Washington State, we cross the country to get a view of Washington, DC from across the Potomac River. The final stop on this tour is Arlington National Cemetery, where we see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington House, and the mast of the USS Maine, which was sunk in 1898 in Havana Harbor. The narrator reads several lines from Theodore O'Hara's poem "The Bivouac of the Dead". At various points in the cemetery, plaques with verses from this poem have been installed.

A strange intelligent organism is found at the bottom of the ocean. Once brought on Seaview the real threat the creature represents is realized. Suddenly every life on board the Seaview is in danger.
