Pepe Martínez is a modest employee of the municipal cleaning service who found a million pesetas in a trash can. Pepe's wife, despite the misery in which they live, decides to return the money, while Pepe's parents-in-law attempt to make them give up what they consider absurd, but, anyway, marriage does not agree. And their nightmare has just begun .

Pablo and Luisita, a young married couple, work in Madrid's subway. Their schedules do not allow them to see each other, so they go to Germany in search of another job. The only one they manage to find is as servants in the castle of the sinister Baron Rossenthal. After a few days of acclimatization, the Baron's sister believes that the time has come to suck the blood of the Spanish, although, like good Spaniards, their love of garlic will help them stop the fangs of the avid blood drinkers.

Inspectors Velarde and Alfaro must find what appears to be a serial killer. This hunt against the clock will make them realize something they'd never thought about: neither one of them is that different from the killer.

They are thinking to themselves about their problems, and we hear their thoughts as voice over monologues. Soon they start exchanging casual glances; they find each other very attractive, and, separately but simultaneously, they start to fantasize about what would happen if they got together that night. They get really excited with this game in their minds; It's almost like they've fallen in love at first sight. And then they hear the train coming... they have to take a decision: Will they dare to say to each other what they're feeling before it's too late?
