Best Horror Movies, You Must Watch

I think this movie is what all other horror flicks should strive for. It sets a very dark atmosphere from the very beginning and does a brilliant job at delivering hopelessness throughout its entire duration. It never reveals too much, as so many films nowadays do. I highly recommend this movie to any one with intelligence and an imagination.

The Grudge is the American remake of the Japanese horror film.One of the scariest movies I've seen in a while. I would not recommend young children to watch it late at night though. It could give them nightmares.It was very well done I think, the ghost scenes, the setting and I would recommend it to friends or anyone who wants a good scare.

The real compliments I have for this film are for the excellent story and surprising twists that really caught me off guard, and should, therefore, go to the original version. This remake is, however, very well done

There are plenty of jump scares as well, and combine the two and you have one Hell (whammy) of a film-going experience on your hands.

"1920" composed of all the elements eerie winds and big empty bungalows, darkness and candles, mirrors cracking and moaning sounds, possession and exorcism, love and lust, betrayal and revenge. a well-directed movie by Vikram Bhatt does the trick.

I saw it with minimal expectations and after I saw the film, I googled it thoroughly to make sure that it was not an "unofficial Hollywood remake". And to my surprise, is it an original screenplay. This movie is a better psycho-thriller than most of the Hollywood productions. You actually care about what's going to happen to them in the end.

You will never know exactly what is going on. That is what made it such a well done horror film, backed up by great acting performances from both adults and children. If you enjoy horror films as I do, see this film, you will not be disappointed!

A good horror film needs good scares, and The Woman in Black comes through on that. Director James Watkins does a fantastic job establishing atmosphere, using shadows and low light to create a sense of disorientation and panic.

Mama is a riveting supernatural thriller with chills and heart-pounding scares. The film surprised me by being more than a scary ghost story.

This movie isn't for everyone because of different sensibilities. But I do; however, don't believe it deserves the score it has, this one should get some credit. It's a subtle horror moving that builds great tension and has some good scares.

The way the ghost is characterized is awesome.Sound effect and background music is good. After Bhoot and Raaz this is the one the finest horror move produced in Hindi movie. Vikram Bhatt merges the past and present beautifully. If you are a fan of ghost stories, SHAAPIT should be on your list of 'things to do and watch' this. Go for it and be prepared to be spooked!

Vikram Bhatt as once again proved his excellent work by making another horror movie in all different style. The atmosphere in the big old haunted house is creepy.Special effects and sound effects are great and cinematography is beautiful.Very good use of silence which we usually see in other Asian and Hollywood movies. There are some jump scenes which are also very effective and all the actors give good performance.

it is a classic horror movie we all know. This isn't a movie for everyone because of the whole possessing thing, I do think, everyone who even if they don't like horror will like this. The ending finale, is very intense, as is the whole entire movie, which will keep your stomach in knots from beginning to end.
