From 9 to 13 May 2017, the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is taking place in Kiev, Ukraine.

42 countries will participate in the 2017 contest, making it the largest music competition in the world. Some non-European countries like Israel and Australia participate in the contest as well. In 2016, a record-breaking 204 million viewers worldwide watched the live broadcast of the final on TV, beating the 2015 viewing figures by over 5 million.
