The series Prague Underworld relies on understatement to colorfully depict the history of Czech criminology. Each episode is a precise miniature portrait, full of tragicomic figures: petty criminals and thieves, prostitutes, con men and even major criminals. Using 1930's society and a touch of nostalgia as a backdrop, the series shows the varied atmosphere of a world long forgotten: technology seemed to be at its peak, limousines were ever more elegant, political life ever more confused and women ever more seductive. The protagonists of the series are old-fashioned detectives in bowler hats: Messrs. Bruzek, Bouse and Soucek. Their universally admired boss, respected Police Commissioner Vacátko, has recently died, and the new commissioner brings different times. Only the sins of the Prague's underworld remain basically the same.

The THERAPY series is unique for its psychological depth, well developed characters and the setting, mostly concentrated in one area. Most of the story takes place in the consulting room of psychologist Marek Posta (Karel Roden) who attends to several patients with a variety of traumas during the weekdays. Every Monday the psychologist receives a saucy Sandra (Tatiana Pauhofová) who confesses in the opening episode that she is in love with Marek. On Tuesday it is the turn of a former soldier returned from Afghanistan (Lukás Hejlík) who reveals his traumas from the war and from being brought up by his father. On Wednesday the psychologist meets a young gymnast, Linda (Michaela Doubravová) whose pretended pubertal self-confidence masks an inner vulnerability. On Thursday he is visited by a married couple (Ana Geislerová and Martin Hofmann) who cannot decide whether they should have an abortion. Every Friday the protagonist visits his older colleague, Dita, to discuss his uncertainties and family problems. Dita is portrayed by the well-known Slovak actress Kamila Magálová. The psychologist's wife, with whom he is going through a family crisis, is played by Klára Melísková. Their teenage daughter, with whom Marek does not have much in common, is played by Berenika Kohoutová.

The situations are often comical but the family experiences both love and strife as well, reflecting the joys and sorrows of any typical family like everyone else they win a few and lose a few.

Who knows how it happened that Kája Berka forgot to take his pajamas with him to visit his grandfather and grandmother in Rosebach. His great-grandmother willingly lent him her great-grandfather's nightgown, who was said to have been a ridiculous dreamer and inventor of nonsensical objects. Only my great-grandmother considered her late husband, a professor at the local high school, to be an unacknowledged genius. Kája, after sleeping through the night in his great-grandfather's nightgown, gave his grandmother the full benefit of the doubt. Not only did he experience a trip to prehistoric times in his great-grandfather's class, but he learned an important piece of information here. His older brother Radim, a designer for a large automobile company, had long been struggling with a groundbreaking invention. His great-grandfather tells Kája that he himself once worked on a similar invention, a car that would run for free and without harmful emissions, and buried the important documentation in the garden.

The children's series reintroduces on the screen Mister Tau the charmer, along with his double, Uncle Alfons. It is impossible to tell them apart, and the cases of their mistaken identity in many comical situations guarantee to entertain all viewers, small and grown.
