A gray border, dull village. Time seems to have stopped in this place. The appearance of a beautiful woman breaks the monotonous way of life and challenges the colorless group of men and makes them come out of their shells.

He is well educated, charming, and gallant - a dream for each lonely lady. In reality he is a skillful swindler, who robs naive women. Cheating merchants with guilty consciences are his targets as well. This is the elusive protagonist of the movie. He constantly changes his name, stages his own death, and travels from town to town. His exploits are myriad and his life is an endless adventure. Yet, he remains an amiable swindler, an unrealized actor, whose only goal is make his life more interesting.

The events of the film are related to the Civil War in Spain. This is a film about the beauty of love - exotic and tragic and the maze of human feelings.

This film reminds us that childhood is the best period in human's life. The story is filled with love for the children and colored with special child humor.

Three novels deal with the mentality of the children, their agitations, and the merry and sad things in their everyday life. The movie is created with a lot of humor, cheerfulness, and great love for the kids.

Two stories, different characters, common problems, when the wills and desires of two generations cannot meet.

Three thematically related novels. The first is "Mother, father and me". The adults have hard time answering the kid's questions. Young Yulian sees that his parents are arguing. He cannot explain how his dad left the home, since his nightshirt and bed are there. The parents send Yulian to his grandpa at the village. The kid has a lot of fun, there are animals - pig, cock, turkey and he is playing all day. The grandpa dies. When Yulian goes home, he gets lost. Her mother accidentally meets him and embraces him crying. Second novel is "School". Three friends Yulian, Rumen and Hristo use small ceramic tiles for a game of marbles. Where to find them? In a construction site nearby there are many tiles of the sort. They break a mosaic. The kids are punished by their parents and at their school. The third novel is "Lily". At the beach of the sea, Yulian is playing with Lily. He gets a seashell, gives it to the girl. On the next morning, the Lily's family leaves. That does not matter to the Yulian's parents, but he is quite sad, since he finds the seashell on a chair. He is sad for the first time in a strange kind of way, something that he never felt before.

This film leads us into the atmosphere of childish life - games and the sweet taste of the cherries from the neighbor's cherry tree. What changes in a child's world when the boy meets injustice?

Impersonating a knight is one of the favorite games of nine-year-old protagonist. Now as Don Quixote, now as D'Artagnan he is fighting evil, he is searching for justice and defending the weak. Together with his friends, packed in cardboard armor, they play all day long. As he is playing, however, he unwittingly witnesses the relation between his parents and gradually comes to understand that the world of the adults is far removed from the canons of knightly honor. His parents love him, but never seem to find the time to listen to his concerns. The deceit, corruption and luck of respect in his own family alienate the small boy. The only adult, whom the boy trusts, is his uncle to whom he is attached by a genuine, equal, man-to-man friendship. He takes him to the cinema and theater performances and talks to him like with his peer. Will this sensitive kid ever succeed in building an internal armor against selfishness and rudeness?

The five-year-old kid Dimo must go to the kindergarten. He is not used to talking to the other kids and he has problems adjusting. His teacher gives him the task of taking care of aquarium. Dimo caused a flood, catches a old and stays at home for few days. Once day his parents take him to the zoo. His mother shows him the tiger cage and tells him that he looks as a little tiger. When Dimo goes back to the kindergarten, he makes a mess again, refuges to apologize and runs off. He walks around the streets of Sofia, plays on the swings in the park, goes to the distorted mirrors room, watches a soccer practice and becomes an unwilling participant in a TV show. The teachers in the kindergarten are worried about his disappearance. A search begins. Without suspecting anything, two young people take Dimo to a restaurant but have an accident on their way back. The young people run away and Dimo hides in telephone booth, from where he calls his house. His parents look for him with no success. On the next morning, the boy goes to the kindergarten and sees how a new kid is being enrolled.

This film is a comedy about a poor man, named Poorco. Poorco always fails in his attempt to escape from poverty. The film illustrates the social and the moral atmosphere in Bulgaria during the 1930's.

A couple of young ladies decide to obtain a driving license. The film is a true comedy of relations, caused between the driving-teacher and the beginner-drivers.

A tenement house needs to have steam heating installed. The residents find the necessary workers to do it, sign the contract and pay them in advance. The workers show up and start their job, but disappear immediately. Panic-stricken, the residents set up to search for them, only to find the workers in jail. Totally desperate, their only chance is to come up with an ingenious plan how to bring the work to the end.

'The Hedgehogs' are a group of youngsters who are trying to gain control of the empty space between the blocks of flats, which they want to convert into a basketball court. The resistance of the neighbors is soon overcome and the court is laid down. Training courses in basketball for kids are set up. The ambitious coach is selecting only those of the boys who are able to carry out his most absurd orders. Two of them happen to be late, so he immediately fires them from the team. Thus the 'hedgehogs' war' against the indifference of the adult breaks out. The boys do not give up readily. They win the war through inventiveness, wit and with the help of the 'good guys' among the adults. But presently a rude pushy neighbor, who has no other concern but the safety of his expensive Ford car, returns from abroad. He wants to build a garage for his beloved car on the place taken up by the basketball court. A garage or a playground - this argument arises from the long-standing conflict between the pragmatic and artistic human spirits, between the lack-lustre world of philistine and the carefree world of the child. While the truck is unloading bricks and sand onto the court, the children are complaining (with some justice) to various administrative bodies. Eventually the hedgehogs lose the battle, but not the war. They are given another playground, but what is more, in their conflict with the adults they have acquired some of their ways, and learned how to load the dice.

The 1960s was the time of Beatles and Rolling Stones, the time of sexual revolution. These events have their echo in Bulgarian English-learning school. The school order provokes a protest of the students due to the narrow-minded teachers.

After witnessing his wife's rape and murder during Ottoman rule, a traumatized Bulgarian knight, Kara Ivan, retreats to the mountains where he raises his young daughter alone among the goats.

In the 17th century, a Bulgarian Christian region is selected by the Ottoman rulers to serve as an example of conversion to Islam. A Janissary who was kidnapped from the village as a boy is sent to force the reluctant inhabitants to convert. The Turkish governor seeks a peaceful solution, but ultimately torture, violence, and rebellion break out.

This period is known as the" golden age " in Bulgarian history. In the time of Tsar Simeon, the independence of the Bulgarian Kingdom was established. Church books are translated into Bulgarian. Bulgarian bookishness is being created.

Maria is having great difficulty getting on with her parents because of their blind, consumerist approach to life. Traumatized by continuous family dramas, having experienced the disappointments of firs love, Maria decides to go up the mountain to a holiday home. There she meets a conceited architect, a shy teacher, a finical jurist, and a timid journalist (all of them representatives of the intelligentsia) who are domineered by the manager of the holiday home and his 'problems'. Maria's resignation changes into a rebellion against impersonal submission and sheep-like compliance with those who hold power. Thus Maria endures a long period of introspections and builds up the strength of her character. She finds moral support in her memory about her aunt Irina who once took part in the antifascist struggle as a partisan and later died as a doctor in the Vietnam War. Her life becomes the supreme example of how one should live for the sensitive Maria.

Elena, Koko, Patso and Gosho are high school students in a small provincial town. Koko is in love with Elena. The girl wants to be a singer. She is really excited about the visiting concert of a famous rock band. The event shakes up the whole town giving birth to new love affairs, disappointments and complicated relationships.

This is a psychological whodunit. The action is tense and there are many ups and downs. Vas, a young militiaman, has to pose as a ex-prisoner and infiltrate an international gang of smugglers at work in Bulgaria. Vas is involved in shady deals: in a web for smuggling drugs. The traffic in drugs is perfectly organized, every one along the chain is being checked up and shadowed. An elderly gentlemen, a harmless nuisance on the face of it, turns out to be one of the bosses. Vas's role as a double agent, in doing his efforts to become a trusted man among the dangerous criminals, faces him with many trials and he risks his life on several occasions. And no matter how strange it may appear, it is among these people that Vas meets the girl he falls in love with. A beautiful girl is tangled in the traffic web. She also falls in love with Vas. Just like the audience, the girl Sunny is not aware of the true personality of Vas in the racket. Gradually she realizes the futility of her present life. Before she manages to change it completely Sunny dies at the very moment when the criminals are caught. Vas copes with his task, the smugglers are detained, but the girl gets killed.
