In a futuristic England, where a totalitarian regime ruled without mercy, a very strange character only known by the letter V, swears to do whatever he can to change the world. Through his "acts of terrorism", he eliminates political and influential figures, one by one, determined to put an end to what "created" him in the first place. Along the way, he saves a girl called Evey who's about to change his perspective more than he manages to change hers. V for Vendetta features one of the best stories I've ever heard in my entire life. It's absolutely flawless throughout the whole movie creating and maintaining a high level of drama, tension but also passion. It's almost like a psychological thriller, revealing very small pieces of it's puzzle, one by one, letting you lust for more. Its special effects are awesome, its decor is great and its actors are top notch. The character V is simply breathtaking, combining a hidden body, a tough personality, a brilliant mind and some amazing skills. I simply adore this movie, it simply changed the way I see and understand movies, it marked me! You cannot miss it, it's a one of a kind masterpiece!

Hiccup is an unusual member of a viking tribe. He's small, skinny and with no expertise in killing dragons. Humiliated and annoyed by everyone, overprotected by his father (the leader of the tribe), he plans to try to capture the only dragon which was so mysterious that nobody has ever seen it, The Night Fury. Unexpectedly, he captures it but then makes a very surprising discovery: dragons are not what was thought about them and they could be tamed with ease. Eventually Hiccup also finds that dragons were being terrorized by a gigantic six-eyed beast which demanded constant feeding in order not to kill everyone, so he sets up with his friends and against the will of the vikings to finish this monster once and for all. It is a superb movie featuring a memorable plot, breathtaking animations and great action. I can't find words to praise this movie. Everything about it is top-notch. Looks great, sounds fabulous, its story is one of a kind, it has them all! It made such an impression on myself that I can't think of anything better when taking about this kind of film. I absolutely loved the way Hiccup evolved from a looser to the pride of the tribe, appreciated and appraised by all. It's even better than Brave (which I adore)! Animation masterpiece without a shadow of a doubt!

A terminally ill girl suffering from lung cancer meets a boy with a very difficult condition of his own who is about to change her life forever. A very close friendship is born between the two but it will not remain as such for long. As they spend more time together and understand each other's situation, their relation evolves, making the final part of their life more than bearable. As a final wish, he takes her to Amsterdam to visit the author of her favorite book but their adventure will not be without obstacles as illness never sleeps. The end to their story is as unexpected as it is tragic and sentimental, but in a good way. I cannot express the emotions I felt during this movie, every single word simply being insufficient in providing any explanation. It is very dramatic but at the same time it brings laughter when you least expect it and romance in its purest way. Two teens, deeply traumatized by their condition, find comfort in each other's arms, struggling every day not to loose faith in divinity and life while overcoming their fears. This movie can cause a lot of tears but it will also bring warmth in one's soul if he or she lets it. It's simply breath taking in every aspect, from its gorgeous story to its presentation, cast and finale. Make sure you don't miss this wonderful masterpiece!

Merida is an unusual princess. She's not very well mannered, she's very stubborn, she's not even good at being a princess, but she's the best archer of all. When the time comes for her to choose a husband from the other three clans, a huge argument occurs between her and her mother which after some witchcraft, leads to the queen becoming a bear. Merida must change her difficult attitude, be brave and once again strengthen the bond between her and her mother before "all hell breaks loose". I don't know how to tell you how I feel about this movie. Its story is great, a lovely combination of action and drama, its animation is superb and its music is top notch. I couldn't believe how well all was put together. Every detail was taken care of and it really shows! Furthermore, its really really funny...and I mean it...really FUNNY! It's quite simply the best animation I've seen so far and it probably won't be beaten anytime soon. Enjoy!

Two orphan princesses, Elsa and Anna, are separated from early age due to an accident involving Elsa's magical powers. Kept well hidden until the coronation ball, Elsa's powers unleash in an act of fear and thus she runs away, hoping that this way, her sister and the whole kingdom will remain safe. Unfortunately, that night, the whole place froze so Anna, filled with courage and hope, sets off in search of her missing sister. A dangerous journey awaits but with some help from her new friends, she might manage to turn around this unhappy course of events. It's a wonderful story of a misunderstood princess and the very fact that made her special which ultimately led to an unfortunate situation for everybody. It's absolutely gorgeous, from the surroundings to the peak of frozen beauty, Elsa's character. It simply shines in visual effects which delights your sight with every single chance it gets. It's a great musical so yo can except a lot of scenes in which visuals and audio combine in mesmerizing scenery. Its characters are really well defined, with unique traits, participating almost flawlessly into all the action, humor and drama. It's a complete movie in my opinion, an animation landmark!

Norman is a kid who happens to possess the gift of seeing and speaking with the dead. As a result, he's considered a freak by the living and unfortunately by his family too. After his uncle dies, Norman is warned that the witch's curse will take part if he doesn't read from a special book at the graveyard before the sun set. Because he fails, Norman must team up with whoever he can to stop the curse once and for all. It features an interesting story centered on Norman and his ability to communicate with ghosts. We are able to watch him overcome his fears, making friends and uncover a dark secret which was haunting his town for 200 years. Although it's a sober horror story it manages quite often to be extremely hilarious. I really wasn't expecting this movie to be so entertaining as it was, it really took me by surprise. It's very well put together, superb animated and beautifully narrated. An animation masterpiece!

Puss in Boots is a cute kitty with a very handsome accent who's become an outlaw after betraying his adoptive town, San Ricardo. Together with and old friend and a new partner of his (who happens to be the most famous thief known), he must find the magic beans, travel to Giant's Castle and "retrieve" the golden goose, this way regaining his lost honor. What you're about to see is an epic adventure, filled with high quality action, romance, special effects and above all, lots and lots of fun. Although I was expecting a funny movie, it amazed me how well put together are all of its sequences. It's great story, told in a very pleasant manner kept me thrilled and entertained throughout the whole movie. It's a superb animation that I recommend with all my heart. I hope to see much more movies like this one!

Tiana is a poor girl who wanted, since she was a little child, to have a restaurant with her father. Although she worked very hard, her dream was becoming more and more impossible. One night, she wished on a star and a small frog came next to her. Willing to give it a chance, she kissed the frog, but instead of receiving a handsome prince, she turned herself into a frog. From there on, she must find out how such thing could have happened and undo the spell until it's too late. It's a superb animated movie, a gorgeous story told through music, laughter and emotion. For kids and genre fans but not only them, I can guarantee it's a great movie. Be sure to watch it!

Emille and Raoul are two friends who accidentally create a monster which "terrorizes" Paris. The commissioner, eager to become the mayor of the city (regardless of costs), promises everyone that he will get rid of this monster once and for all. Meanwhile, Lucille, a star singer and old friend of Raoul, encounters this terrifying creature but it turns out it's not what everyone thought it was. From here on, our main characters join each other in their attempt to save this creature before it's too late. It's an emotional story with some unexpected turnovers which will keep you entertained from the beginning to the end. It's very romantic, sometimes even funny, making you wish it wasn't so short. Nevertheless, it's a great movie!

Roger is a dedicated loner but thanks to his pet Pongo he finds the woman of his life, Anita and her dalmatian Perdita. After the two dogs have fifteen puppies, Cruella De Vil manages to steal the the little ones in order to make coats out of their fur. Because humans couldn't find the stolen puppies, not even Scotland Yard, it's now all to Pongo and Perdita. Together with other dogs, they must find the kidnappers before they are able to do any harm. It's a classic story full of complexity, drama and suspense, laughter and action. You couldn't want anything more from a movie of its genre. Yet another must see!

Belle is a beautiful girl with an unusual attraction to books, contrary to her village's conception. While trying to rescue her father from a remote enchanted castle, she becomes the prisoner of a soulless beast, which triggered a spell upon his land "thanks" to his cold character. Although at first it seemed that nothing good can happen, they start getting attached to each other. Meanwhile, a pretender to Belle's hand, is determined to do any mischievous act in order to reach his goal. It's a classic and beautiful Disney story, beautifully told and drawn, which sends a lot of emotion, drama and love. It features a very good story which is presented through a series of musical moments which tend to give you goosebumps with every act. It's been one of my favorites since childhood and will continue to stay in my heart for a very long time. An animation masterpiece and a must see for everyone!

In one of their summer days, Phineas and Pherb accidentally help Dr. Doofenshmirtz to create a portal to another dimension in which he managed to take over the Tri-State Area. This way, the two boys find out that their beloved pet platypus is actually a secret agent who's been using them as a cover the whole time. Unfortunately there isn't time for a family reunion because they must fight, together with the other dimension's resistance (their identical characters), against an imminent invasion of their own place. From there on, everything goes Phineas and Pherb style! It's a superb movie which combines a great story, immersive action and entertainment full of cool background music. I can't explain how much I liked this movie, especially for its plot. The best of Phineas and Pherb without a shadow of a doubt!

Jack Frost, a character nobody believed in, is one day chosen by The Moon to become the fifth guardian (after Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy and The Sand Man). Due to his difficult personality and the fact that his past was a complete mystery to him, Jack is not going to be easily convinced to take the job, unless something or someone really bad is going to show up. It's an interesting story in which very popular characters are shown somewhat different from their well known aspects and the fact that they are all guardians (literally fighting to keep the children of the world safe from any danger which might occur) makes it even cooler. The story of Jack Frost and how he becomes famous is really well put together in this movie, managing to be very funny at times, sober when it's needed and very entertaining overall. It looks absolutely gorgeous in every scene it depicts making it a real pleasure for your eyes. Although I had my reservations about this one, it really proved me wrong! A great piece of animation without any single doubt!

Five years after Hiccup brought peace between Vikings and dragons, he spends his time mapping the unknown world with the help of his beloved companion, Toothless. In their quest, they discover that an old acquaintance of his father's is assembling a mighty dragon army in order to become supreme leader. With the help of a very unexpected person, which kidnaps him in the beginning, he must lead his people and his dragon, once again, to restore the much needed peace. This is the sequel to the best animation ever created (in my opinion of course) which, frankly, I was expecting it to be as Cars 2, an utter failure without any doubt. To my surprise, it had nothing to do with it and it proved me wrong once again, shouting loud and clear that you can create a masterpiece in any circumstance if you really want to, and of course, have the power to do it. Visually speaking, it is simply astounding, enchanting your eyes with every scenery. Combined with the same funny, well shaped and much better animated characters, it manages to create a superb atmosphere which can be hardly described using mere words. The creators achieved something wonderful with this film, creating an emotional and satisfying story which features interesting and entertaining events after the first one's finale. Although it isn't as mind blowing as the original, it it still a brilliant piece of animation. Hats down to them!

In a futuristic world where autonomous robots are something normal, a young boy abandons his time-wasting hobby of bot fighting to joins a college filled with nerds and high-end technology. Unfortunately, as he thought he had found a place in life, disaster strikes, taking the life of the person he loves most. Although considered to be an accident, the event proves to be more complex than expected, making the boy eager to find out the truth. Together with his friends and a large inflatable balloon robot, he is determined to fight his way, if necessary, to uncover what happened on that faithful night and what needs to be done to make things right. It is a brilliant movie with a good plot and a funny way of presenting its events. It has plot turnovers, it has funny and enjoyable characters, basically everything you need from an animation to be brilliant, but the whole show is stolen by the inflatable robot with its unique style and pleasure inducing actions. A very good example of animation at its best!

In a world where animals are evolved and live like normal people, doing normal jobs, a young bunny rabbit dreams to become a police officer. In order to fulfill her dream, she studies hard to get qualified and travels to the great city of Zootopia. There, she's about to find out that life is much harder than expected, full of problems and different people among which she has to struggle to make a name for herself. She'll have to use all the skills and patience she's got in order to succeed but also the help of a curious fox which she "forces" to join her adventures. It's a brilliant, suspenseful and joyful story of a rabbit which must overcome its status in oder to achieve a lifetime dream. The animation is top notch, the plot is superb with twists and turns while the characters are very well balanced and drawn. Simply put, it's an animation masterpiece, a one of a kind movie and a must see for everyone. You'll certainly love this title!

Remy, an apparently ordinary rat who lives with his pack in a remote house, discovers that he has an extraordinary gift. He is able to smell all flavors and poisons, thus becoming very useful for his kind, but this new ability also comes with a lot of curiosity regarding food and cooking. This curiosity, bound to get him in trouble, ultimately sends him to Paris where it was thought that anybody can cook. There, he teams up with a very odd human with a special life of his own, in an attempt to prove his extraordinary abilities. He has a lot of work to do and many obstacles to overcome but his determination and skill will help him in many difficult situations. It's a superb animation which presents a beautiful, interesting and suspenseful life story which ultimately ends with style besides all problems the main characters have to face. It's beautifully animated, it has everything you can want from a movie, drama, suspense, romance and action while keeping your attention and interest all the time. Simply put, it's an animation masterpiece and a very good movie which I warmly recommend to anyone looking for a good time. Simply brilliant!

After Earth gets overwhelmed by garbage, all humans flee into space aboard the Axiom, waiting for robots to clean up the mess. Among them, Wall°e has developed a small personality, gathering objects of its interest, while doing the job it was programmed for. Meanwhile, a probe from the Axiom arrives, by the name of Eve, and starts looking for evidence of life. Together, they're about to change the fate of humanity, without even knowing the consequences of their actions. It's a movie which tries to send a message about pollution and ultimately, its effects in the upcoming future, and it does it with style. By telling the story of the two cute robots, which is without any doubt very emotional and catchy, it draws the viewer into its world, making him care about the main characters and willing or unwillingly, about the fate of future humans who were inevitably involved into human-like vegetables. It's beautifully animated, written and presented, making it an animation with class which will stay on top many years to come.

In a futuristic world where Earth's resources have mostly vanished and people are on the verge of starvation, an ingenious engineer accepts to be sent in a space expedition, hoping to find a new habitable world which to populate. With the promise of return, he's determined to complete his vital mission, but, along the way, he will encounter many obstacles, more and more unexpected and tedious, which will make him question anything he knew about life and time. It's a mind boggling experience which I found simply amazing, no matter the point of view. I was astonished by its complexity and visual effects, let alone its wow inducing facts regarding time and the universe. Its story slowly evolves, going into uncharted territory to my delight, ending after nearly three unnoticed hours with style. Although apparently lengthy, it manages to create a superb cosmic atmosphere, filled with mystery, suspense and tension, boredom being something out of the question. It's simply an astonishing piece of cinematography, thanks to its cast, story and visual effects. The fact that it didn't won much more academy awards simply puzzles me.

There, he begins to embrace the "real life" and train in order to help the rebellion fight the machines who have enslaved humans for too long. He slowly evolves from "just another guy" to someone capable of doing truly impressive actions in order to survive and protect his new friends from the notorious agents. It's a truly impressive movie, spectacular in every single way, from the mind bending story to the slow motion combat and shooting. It's thrilling, dramatic and full of action. It's something revolutionary, something which you will love, regardless of movie preferences. Simply brilliant!

As a result of the increased awareness of the mutant presence among humans, a scientist creates The Sentinels, a type of robots designed to locate and erase them from the face of the earth, having the ability to adapt to every possible situation. Things don't work according to plan and soon, total annihilation awaits. Thus, the last remaining group of mutants decides to send Wolverine back into the past in his attempt to undo the faithful event which determined the very creation of those weapons of mass destruction. It is a brilliant story taking place simultaneously over a large period of time, in which mutants expose their greatest powers and work together for a common cause. It looks spectacular and it creates a wonderful atmosphere, full of tension, suspense, action and destruction. It is hard to express through words the feeling that this movie game me and thus, I have to admit that it is indeed one of the best sci-fi movies I have seen so far, even better than First Class. A must see!

After an old threat to humanity is resurrected and starts recruiting his henchmen, the old X-Men are taken by surprise by his immense power so they must unite forces once again in order to stop him from destroying the world. Although having quite an ordinary premise for a superhero movie (an old superpower which rises after a very long time to bring apocalypse) this one manages to stay in row with the previous X-Men instalments and deliver a solid plot with great action accompanied by amazing CGI. It has drama, suspense, thrill and joy, all in the same picture which keeps you glued to the screen until the finale. Although starting a bit slow, it gradually builds up tension until the big confrontation which is simply spectacular. I enjoyed it very much. It is another success from this beloved franchise and I truly hope that the upcoming ones will be at least as good.

Amelie is a very odd French citizen, who's childhood wasn't quite happy, as the narrator presented. She has a very interesting behaviour (due to her lonely type). Instead of telling people what she thinks, she interferes with their lives, putting them in various situations, which will make them change their attitude, mood or even mentality. Soon after she starts helping people in this way, she encounters a wierd person, just like herself, with whom she falls in love. The only problem is that she hasn't got the courage to meet him and tell him what she thinks. So she devises a sort of detective game, which hopefully will be played by her lover. It's a superb story, I can't explain in words how this movie made me feel. I was puzzled, confused, intrigued and entertained at the same time. Very weird indeed! It also made me laugh very much, something I wasn't expecting from this film. Its marvelous story, combined with a French atmosphere create a movie you'll hardly forget! An Undeniable Masterpiece!

Closely to Christmas, Jonathan encounters a lovely and attractive woman with whom he spends a wonderful couple of hours. She is a true believer in destiny so in order to have the blessing of it, they write their name and phone number on two different objects and send them into the world, hoping that the other will find it. A long time passes since then, each of them is engaged and all seems to be fine but neither can be happy knowing that their soul mate is waiting to be found. Thus, both start to search, one last time before the wedding, for the object that might make them truly happy. It's a marvelous love story in which destiny plays a crucial part, making the whole romance more and more interesting as time passes. It's a wonderful idea, truly splendid put into play and acted. You simply cannot ask for more suspense, drama and comedy than this movie has to offer. It is a romance masterpiece and a must see!

60 years after the war with the Scavs which destroyed most of earth, Jack Harper, a drone maintenance technician, encounters a crashed object from the sky which carries human beings. After he manages to save one of them, serious questions begin to appear about his whole operation and even the war which generated all this mayhem. Jack will have to face the past and uncover the truth about everything before he can do anything about the present situation, which is desperate need of assistance. It's a mind boggling story full of unpredictable events, suspense, drama but also action. It features throughout its entire length some one of a kind, state of the art computer generated landscapes of a post apocalyptic earth which will simply take your breath away. Although it seemed a bit generic in the beginning, it rapidly evolved in complexity making you wonder all the time what actually happened and what will happen next. It's a very good movie, as you would expect from a Tom Cruise movie but it you like its story and its visuals as much as I do, you'll find this one to be a pretty epic movie of its genre.
