Bad Surge's Rubbish: Films That Sucked

I read the original script before production, loved it. Saw the cast a few months later, loved it. Found it at red box and saw the cover, loved it. Took it home and watched it, felt sick by the time the credits were rolling.

Even Christopher Lloyd throwing in a rare performance couldn't save this sexually exploitative *beep* festival. Predictable and way too far over the top in terms of gore. Some people call it satire, or a campy homage to camp cinema. I call that straw man.

Loved the first one, though I thought there was room for improvement. Redboxed this a few years after the originals release, haven't been able to watch either since. They took a good story and ran it into the ground.

No one on earth was more excited for a sprinting Jason than me. The trailer got me all revved up. Went to the theater to watch it, saw the trailer play again in the first 20 minutes, and Jason never sprinted again. Much like my heart. Cliche, illogical, more holes than fishnet stockings.

Concept sounded interesting, creepy trailer. The film however, moved at the pace of a sporadic heart attack, with a contrived ending that made me ashamed to be a fan of the horror genre.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Oscar nominee Jackie Earle Haley couldn't hold a candle to Robert Englund's Freddy. Especially using the Rorschach voice. Stupid cameo from underrated actor Aaron Woo. Interesting re-approach to the Springwood Slasher mythology, but not enough to save the films rehashing of Craven's old scares verbatim.

It's like Michael Bay didn't care at all about logic or reason. He just wanted to make a movie with smoking hot chicks, explosions, and wacky robot hijinks, and NOTHING more. You couldn't pay me to watch this movie again. When I want hot chicks and explosions, I go back to 70's-80's camp classics. The wacky robot hijinks I can do without.

Guessed every twist in the movie within the first twenty minutes. Ruined it for my ex and my friend. And this was before I read the far superior graphic novel.

Tidal wave does not equal giant water koi fish monster. Raise the makeup budget and cut back on the cgi budget, M Night. Like in The Sixth Sense.

Predictable to the point of making me think I'd already watched it. Last second twist was extremely contrived, served no purpose except to attempt to give the audience one last scare.

If I wanted to watch Kevin Spacey hit on young englishmen, I'd visit him in his private life. One cliche after another until for the first time in my life I walked out of the theater. I tried watching it all the way through months later, didn't help my opinion of it.

Solid film for about 20 to 30 minutes, then it all goes to hell and we lose all relation with the two stars. I would've lived through this crisis.

A film looking amazing doesn't make it an amazing film. Another gem where I guessed the entire story in 15 minutes.

I may have judged this one too early but I can't focus on it when try to watch it on TV. Normally only happens during *beep* movies. What I've been able to pay attention to I didn't like.

Super slasher powers where the killer can be at 5 different locations at once, ironically when the victims are finally alone and ready to die. Way to go, Zombie. And good luck keeping your wife relevant in the entertainment industry. WHAT WAS WITH THAT DAMN GHOST HORSE?

Shocking images don't make a thriller if everything else in the movie is boring and depressing, not to mention ludicrous and vague. Not ambiguous, as the director would like you to believe, but vague and confusing. A movie with no ending.

Stock action characters reveal right away that this is a film you've already seen. One or two original shots and ideas aside, it's every horror thriller you've ever seen.

No sense was made during this entire film. One solitary shot of the sky with large planets visible, out of nowhere, and then NEVER AGAIN. A waste of Lawrence Fishburne's involvement. It was like watching a live stage performance that's free of charge. It was like watching kids play make-believe.

God, was this sloppily made. Nothing caught me off guard or interested me, unlike every Indy film prior to this. The whole movie could be featured in the "Cliche Catchphrase catalogue": "I'm getting too old for this!" was the heart of this film.

Waste of a perfectly good franchise. The spansih sequel was superior to all installments of this franchise, English or Spanish. Wouldve been better if we couldn't guess the conclusion.

What the hell was this garbage?

Way to *beep* on John Carpenter's legacy of creating a tense, frightening situation anywhere. The cops are more melodramatic then all of the female leads inside the station combined. Did things to try to be original, came off like a video game (aka it would never happen like this, so the illusion of fusing the story with reality that the cinematography hints at is contradictory to the point of being painful).

Dear God, this farfetched piece of cinematic drivel is EXTREMELY overrated to the point of sheer, mind numbing monotony. The leads do stupid, un-relatable things and earn their conclusion. No wonder this spawned The Strangers.

Do I really need to explain this one?

THIS ENDING IS DONE TO DEATH. And that was before this crap even came out. Random things thrown in for shock value and faux originality. The firs two acts are mysterious, shocking, and engrossing. The third act is enough to make me want to bomb France.
