What starts off as a Bergmanesque family drama is artfully transformed, by the director of “Leviathan”, into a slow-burning mystery thriller through which Zvyagintsev expresses his dissatisfaction with modern day Russia. Won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
