- 96 titles
- DirectorErik BloomquistStarsCara BuonoClare FoleySpencer ListIn 1987, a group of counselors accidentally unleash a decades-old evil on the last night of summer camp.5/10 - Missed opportunity with some bad pacing. Liked the concept and the 80's setting, but that's about it. Doesn't actually look or feel 80's and barely anything happens for the first hour.
- DirectorJT MollnerStarsWilla FitzgeraldKyle GallnerMadisen BeatyNothing is what it seems when a twisted one-night stand spirals into a serial killer's vicious murder spree.LOW 7/10 - Predictable and a bit dialogue-heavy at times, but still liked the movie overall. Especially liked the unconventional way the story was told.
- DirectorJeff WadlowStarsDeWanda WiseTaegen BurnsPyper BraunA woman returns to her childhood home to discover that the imaginary friend she left behind is very real and unhappy that she abandoned him.5/10 - Liked some of the ideas it had, but aside from that, the movie was full of generic scares, predictability, and a silly third act.
- DirectorJem GarrardStarsRyan A. TaylorHeidi N ClosetCrystal MethydAfter a booking mistake, four drag queens find themselves performing for a mostly unwelcoming crowd, but when vampires attack, the crowd looks to the queens to save the day.LOW 6/10 - Amusing vampire comedy that kind of runs out of steam in the mid-mark, but picks up again in the third act.
- DirectorMark AtkinsStarsAdam BaldwinJennifer GatesUdo KierA screenwriter is plagued by nightmares as he writes a script about a family that was slaughtered years before. Soon, the grisly murders he's writing about actually start to happen.LOW 4/10 - Adam Baldin must've owed someone money or something, because he's the only thing good in this otherwise terrible movie.
- DirectorGary DaubermanStarsLewis PullmanMakenzie LeighJordan Preston CarterAn author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire.
- DirectorsGabriel CarrerReese EveneshenStarsLora BurkeNick SmythColin ParadineAn overworked nurse returns home to find a maniac hiding out with a bruised and beaten hostage. When an unexpected wave of violent intruders descend upon her home, it becomes a fight for survival.6/10 - Pretty simple story. Good pacing, with some nice blood and violence. Short and to the point. Surprisingly decent overall.
- DirectorAvi NesherStarsDrew BarrymoreGeorge NewbernDennis ChristopherA writer with a room for rent acquires a strange new roommate with a psychotic alter-ego that follows her wherever she goes.5/10 - Early 90's erotic horror starring a young Drew Barrymore that turns into a bizarre body horror flick by the end. If the rest of the movie was an crazy as the climax then I might've enjoyed it more.
- DirectorsBridget Savage ColeDanielle KrudyStarsAriana DeBoseBarbie FerreiraArian MoayedIt tells the story of a chef who opens her first restaurant where she battles kitchen chaos, a dubious investor and self doubt, but the pressure heats up thanks to the spirit of the estate's previous owner who threatens to sabotage her.5/10 - A chef goes crazy. Also, there's minor witch stuff going on. That's about it.
- DirectorStacy DavidsonStarsAshley KayMelanie DonihooPeyton WetzelA group of friends break into an abandoned factory in order to throw a impromptu party; unaware that it is not as empty as they originally believed.4/10 - Some good gore and deaths and I liked the killer and his bigass weapon, but that's about it. The rest of the movie is trash.
- DirectorsTesh GuttikondaMitch OliverStarsAmanda FixMatthew MacCaullBrenna LlewellynThe survival instincts of a road-tripping family are put to the test when they have no other choice but to stay the night at a remote homestead.6/10 - Some good blood and gore. Like the story, despite it being nothing new. Decent watch overall.
- DirectorLee DanielsStarsAndra DayGlenn CloseAnthony B. JenkinsAn Indiana family discovers strange, demonic occurrences that convince them and their community that the house is a portal to hell.6/10 - A little longer than it needed to be and was more drama than horror, but it was an interesting watch nonetheless.
- DirectorsSpenser CohenAnna HalbergStarsHarriet SlaterAdain BradleyJacob BatalonWhen a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings, they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death.5/10 - Like some ideas it offers, but it's ultimately jus a generic movie, with generic scares and a generic story.
- DirectorGreg JardinStarsBrittany O'GradyJames MorosiniGavin LeatherwoodA group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires and grudges.6/10 - Light on horror and didn't care for the first hour much (just found a lot of the characters obnoxious), but really picks up in the third act. Interesting body swap movie and a decent watch overall.
- DirectorLarry FessendenStarsAlex HurtAddison TimlinMotell Gyn FosterA Fine Arts painter is convinced that he is a werewolf wreaking havoc on a small American town under the full moon.LOW 5/10 - Slow, too much dialogue, long, and boring. Not enough werewolf action and the werewolf looked pretty bad.
- DirectorEuros LynStarsKelly MacdonaldDamian LewisSophia Di MartinoIt follows a seemingly ordinary family with a dark secret: they are vampires. They choose not to drink blood despite their natural cravings, but their truth is revealed one day.5/10 - This vampire "comedy" forgot the comedy part. It's more about a vampire family drama than anything. Bad pacing to top it off. At least the acting was decent.
- DirectorMatt SampereStarsMatt SampereMonique ParentAlan MaxsonTim's mother has brain cancer, but his friends steal a sack unleashing the Aos Si Celtic spirit on Halloween night. They must survive the night or sacrifice their lives to the spirit. The spirit pursues them for their trespass.4/10 - Like the concept and some of the cheap practical gore was decent, but outside of that it's not good.
- DirectorJuan Pablo Arias MunozStarsViolet McGrawMadeleine McGrawHenry ThomasFamily navigates turbulent 1960s dynamics. Mom separates from alcoholic husband. Daughters grapple with changes. Dad's antique gift hides dark force that imperils all.5/10 - Can't get much more generic than this.
- DirectorAndrew BowserStarsAndrew BowserRivkah ReyesMelanie ChandraFledgling occultist Onyx and a group of worshipers attend a once-in-a-lifetime ritual at their idol BARTOK THE GREAT'S mansion.6/10 - Not familiar with the Onyx character, which I guess is based on some viral video. Anyway, didn't care for him much, just seemed too animated and yelled all his diolugue for some reason. It was also a little longer than necessary. Rest of the movie is decent though, with some amusing bits and cool practical effects.
- DirectorLuca GuadagninoStarsTimothée ChalametTaylor RussellMark RylanceA young woman embarks on a 1000 mile odyssey through America where she meets a disenfranchised drifter. But all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts and to a final stand that will determine whether love can survive their otherness.LOW 7/10 - More drama-romance than horror, but it does have just enough blood and violence to fall into the genre. Good performances all around. Interesting story. Just a wee bit too long.
- DirectorsJen SoskaSylvia SoskaStarsAshley MooreAndre AnthonyCamren BicondovaWhile attending a festival to commemorate the original zombie attack, Ash and her friends encounter the living dead and must fight back or be devoured.5/10 - Pacing is decent and so is some of the gore, but the rest is the same old with unlikable characters.
- DirectorE.L. KatzStarsVic Carmen SonneSamara WeavingNathan Stewart-JarrettIn a world where no one speaks, a devout female-led community hunts down a young woman who has escaped imprisonment. Recaptured, Azrael is due to be sacrificed to an ancient evil in the wilderness, but fights for her own survival.6/10 - Like the concept and there being no dialogue, but the whole movie is basically get captured, escape, get captured again, escape again, rinse and repeat. Next to that, the pacing is solid and there's some good blood and gore, so it's a decent watch overall.
- DirectorAriel VidaStarsBethlehem MillionAlexandra EssoeAlly IoannidesA group of young people go to a remote marijuana farm where they hope to make quick cash. But, they discover the location's dark secrets and now must try to escape the mountain on which they are trapped.5/10 - Takes a bit to get going, but pretty interesting when it does. Some decent-looking gore in parts. Story was alright. Characters were mostly unlikable. Semi-decent movie overall.
- DirectorLuigi CozziStarsDaria NicolodiJasmine MaimonePascal PersianoWhen a female rock band uses an infamous old piece of sheet music to record their new album in an old mansion, they accidentally open a portal to hell.4/10 - Pretty standard bad 80's Italian rock-horror.
- DirectorBrian TaylorStarsJack KesyJefferson WhiteAdeline RudolphHellboy and a rookie B.P.R.D. agent in the 1950s are sent to the Appalachians, where they discover a remote community dominated by witches and led by the sinister local demon, the Crooked Man.LOW 7/10 - I liked it. Not as much as the first two, but it's definitely an improvement over the last one. Some iffy CG at times, but luckily they kept things mostly practical. Also liked the darker tone and the contained storyline. Could've used a bit more action, but it's not a major complaint since it was never boring. Jack Kesy wasn't bad as the new Hellboy either. Overall I enjoyed it.
