Modern Italian Cinema
Modern Italian Cinema—like the rest of most European industries movies—is plugged with commercial films: sad comedies, copies of copies of copies that just talk about family and social issues, but with little substance, no pathos and no interesting stylistic choices, and always the same actors and actress.
But this majority of advertised films should not delude the viewer that there are no artistic, magnificent, quality films in the industry, real masterpieces.
(Italian Producers should change the culture of the audience, accustoming them to think and go to the theater to see these masterpieces when they think of "modern Italian cinema". By recognizing and promoting the true masterpieces of modern Italian cinema, we can work towards a future where these films are celebrated as the norm, rather than the exception.)
