In the lower bottoms of Santiago, two stories head for a terrible ending. One shows us how Samuel's ambition, a former policeman and ruffian of the mafia, makes him murder his boss, Efrain, and escapes with his money. The other one tells the story of growth and vengeance of Efrain's son, Raul, whom the murder of his father takes him on a journey full of hate and violence in the pursuit of the murderer.

A father accidentally kills his son and then commits suicide. The wife (Isabel) begins a long journey of pain and forgetfulness towards the south of Chile, there she meets a mapuche child an the conflict of her culture. A poor family is victim of the father's alcoholism. The eldest son (Octavio) assumes the defense of his sister, an adolescent student (Mariquita), who is deceived by a white slave trader (Goyo) to join a house of bad life. Once Octavio found out, he managed to dismantle the plan and rescue Mariquita. With the help of his employer and his tireless work, Octavio manages to send his father to a rehabilitation center and rescue him from alcoholism, changing the destiny of his entire family.
