Shekhar visits them, meets Gopi, and approves of this marriage, and asks Jamuna to finalize a day for the marriage. When this news reaches Gopi and Kishen both are heartbroken, as much as Kishen would like to marry Gopi he knows that he is unemployed and poor, and hence not considered a good suitor. Additionally, his mentor and guardian, Raghunath, would like him to marry his daughter, Ramkali, and may ask him to make the ultimate sacrifice by demanding this as his guru-dakshina (teacher's fee). Then the villagers ask Kishen to leave the town as he has brought shame on them all by continuing to meet with Gopi, who has now been promised to Shekhar. Kishen leaves town, re-locates to Lucknow, meets with Shekhar, who gives him a job at the Radio Station. Soon Kishen's music reaches every corner of India and he becomes a rich man overnight. He returns home to wed Gopi, but finds out that Shekhar is to wed her, and he is just in time to play the clarinet at their wedding. It looks like Gopi and Kishen's romance is fated to end tragically - unless and until a miracle occurs that will unite them forever.

Sunil Kumar rents a room in the city where he is to play cricket for the home team. He meets with the landlord's daughter, who instantly dislikes him. But after watching him play cricket, she falls in love with him, and both decide to get married. After the marriage both decide to re-locate and do so, living harmoniously for sometime, before differences arise, threatening to break up their "love marriage".

When Anand's dad passes away, he leaves considerable wealth to Anand's child, including a monthly allowance of Rs.10,000/-. Maya initially plots with an advocate, S. Prakash, who is Bela's husband, who had assisted her in getting married to Anand, to try and prove that her late father-in-law was insane, and when that fails she and her aunt, Nurse Sarla Verma, concoct a plot that Ratna's son is really Anand's biological son, leading to their lawyer filing a custodial case in Court. The question remains is Raju really Anand's son, will Ratna readily give away her child, and is Maya capable of bringing him up?

During Akbar's rule over Hindustan, the Mughal's considered Pathans their enemies and vice versa. As a result there was a war-like relation between Mandva's Sultan Sujat Khan and Akbar. But Sujat's son, Wajid, was a peace-maker and a lover of the arts. He befriended a Hindu Kshtriya, Rajkumari Rupmati, of Mandhavghar, and despite protests from her parents, brothers, and to-be husband, Baldev Singh, she re-located to Mandva, where Wajid build her a tower so that she could view and seek blessings from holy river Narmada, who had gifted her to Mandhavghar. She became instrumental in diverting Narmada to bring water to her drought-stricken hometown. After Sujat passes away, Wajid becomes the Sultan and is called Bagh Bahadur. Akbar hears about this and sends Sangeet Samrat Tansen to check out Rupmati as well as find out if they wanted peace or war. Tansen was welcomed, and assured that Wajid wanted nothing but peace. But their peaceful lives will soon be turned upside when Tansen gets abducted by Subedar Hafiz Khan, is held against his will. An enraged Akbar asks his Chieftain Adam Khan to storm Malwa and free Tansen. In the meantime, Hafiz' daughter, who is in love with Wajid, gets into Rupmati's palace - with one intent - to kill her. Widower Barrister Ashok lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay, India along with his sister-in-law, and a young son, Ramesh. One day while driving, he accidentally runs over a woman, brings her home, cares for her until she recuperates and tells him that her name is Kamla and is homeless. He finds that Ramesh likes her, so he marries her. After a few months, he is delighted when she becomes pregnant. This delight sours considerably when he finds out through his friend, Pran, that Kamla had been frequenting the OK Club. Then he witnesses her abusing Ramesh. Years later Mohan has grown up and is now an advocate and is in love with a girl named Radha. Even though Radha comes from a poor background, Ashok has no objections and goes to meet with her parents to arrange their marriage. A baffled and heartbroken Geeta must now find out why her dad, first approved Raja, and then rejected him. What Geeta does not know is that Raja does not love her - he is only out to avenge the death of his real mother, who was run over by Rattan's car years ago. Geeta also does not know that Rattan is not her biological father, but a brutal killer, who had knowingly killed her very own father, Madan. The Das family consists of widower, Barrister Mohan; his son - CID Inspector Sharad; and married daughter, Kamla; and a school-going son, Munna. Kamla is married to an army Captain. Sharad's marriage has been arranged with Karuna, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed father. On the day of the marriage, Kamla asks Karuna to retrieve some letters that she had written to her former lover, Ramesh Bhatia. Karuna goes to retrieve them, but ends up assaulting Ramesh. She returns just in time to get married. Both women promise to never reveal this secret to anyone, as this may break-up Kamla's marriage. After the marriage, the Police are notified that Ramesh has been killed and their investigations shows that the killer is a woman whose name starts with 'K'. Sharad is assigned this case, but is unable to proceed, and as a result his superior, SP Verma, closes the file. Then a Hotel Manager comes forth and identifies the killer as Karuna. Sharad and Verma accumulate enough evidence, then go to arrest Karuna, but find she is absconding, but she later returns home, and is arrested and held in a cell. She refuses to divulge any information as to why she killed Ramesh. Now the entire family's dirty laundry will be aired before an open courtroom where Mohan will prepare to defend his daughter-in-law, while Sharad will appear as a witness against his very own wife.

Two naive village-bred brothers, Brijpal (Birju) and Rajpal (Raju) decide to re-locate to Bombay city in order to better their lives. On their first day in Bombay, they are robbed of all their money, and forced to seek employment in order to survive. Their efforts at being employed - whether it is working as waiters, polishing shoes, or masseurs - all meet with failure. The brothers decide that honest labor is not for them, and they decide to improve their respective images, and take to crime. They accordingly change their appearance, book a room in an expensive hotel, and start living like rich men. What follows is complete and utter chaos, as the helpless brothers use all their wits to maintain their new status.

Orphaned brothers Jagannath and Rajan turn to crime for survival. Jagannath, a seasoned criminal, leads a double life, while Rajan aids the police. Their paths cross unknowingly. The climax unfolds with a police chase and a family reunion.
