I excluded movies about boxing and football (soccer) here, because they are too many! I wanted to include a larger variety of sports.  I made a whole list only for boxing movies (http://www.imdb.com/list/c6vUoJVXwkc/) and another one for football (soccer) films (http://www.imdb.com/list/ls066371760).

Some of the movies in this list do not have a sport as its main subject, but a sport plays an important role.
