What I'm trying to do here is put together a collection of some of the best movies and TV series ever released since the advent of cinema in 1888. The reason for this list is that I don't have enough Top 250 IMDb ratings.

The list contains movies from 1888 to 2025 that deserve at least minimal attention. Here I have gathered all the movies and TV series that have been in any of the tops and rankings, by genre, by rating, by popularity, by box office receipts, by impact on cinema or society, both in general and in every single year since 1888.

So far, I have a list of about 5000 movies and TV series that can be called the best/popular/profitable/influential in history out of all the hundreds of thousands if not millions of movies that have been released in history. 

And I plan to watch all these movies for the rest of my life, in chronological order of their release since 1888. If of course I have enough time to live :D.

P.s. The list may change a bit. Individual missed or new movies or shows I may add. Some may be deleted. But these changes will be minor and will happen gradually over the years. Overall, 95% of the list is what it is, and will remain that way ~forever.
