Having lived in The Netherlands for many years and learnt the language, I've taken a keen interest in Dutch cinema. I especially enjoy the small-scale stories with suburban/provincial settings, where, traditionally, the rather rigid cultural norms are so different from cosmopolitan Dutch city life.
