- William Bradford Huie was born on November 13, 1910 in Hartselle, Alabama, USA. He was a writer, known for The Americanization of Emily (1964), Wild River (1960) and The Revolt of Mamie Stover (1956). He was married to Ruth Puckette. He died on November 22, 1986 in Guntersville, Alabama, USA.
