I always wanted to act but I am not sure why. I asked for glove puppets for Christmas when I was six-years-old and used to put on shows in my garage and charge other kids to see them. Wanting to become an actress in Merthyr was seen as something exotic. I think my parents thought it was a bit ridiculous at first but in the end that I realised that I was so determined to do it that there was no point in trying to argue.
