Mihailo was born in Bijelo Polje, Crna Gora and hills where he finished
secondary school. From 1957 to 1962 he was simultaneously studying at 2
universities in Belgrade. He started his working in film in Belgrade
Cinema club and professionally from 1958 as second unit director and
editor in various Yugoslav films. He has edited TV plays for G.
Markovic, S. Karanovic, L. Zafranovic. R. Grlic, G. Paskaljevic,
K.Vicek and others. He has written screenplays and directed 17 short
films, written and directed the play "Sorrow" by Chekhov, directed and
written for TV. He directed the motion pictures Natural Boundaries (1970) in 1970. One of
the documentaries (Judgment) from his own EXP production was awarded
'best documentary' in the Belgrade film festival 1998 and the
documentary "Markale" was awarded with "Grand Prix" in the Belgrade
festival in 1999. From 1990 he is the owner of film EXP production Ilke
in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
