Primarily a theatrical actress in classical roles, active on stages throughout Germany and Austria. Also in boulevard theatre, notably in Neil Simon's comedy Plaza Suite.
Presenter at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957.
Studied acting at the Mozarteum Academy in Salzburg. First on stage in 1953 at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt.
