The film came out in 2008 and has a solid 78% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s full of the Coens’ signature dark humor, absurd situations, and clueless characters trying to outsmart a system they barely understand. The film also features Ocean’s fan favorites Brad Pitt and George Clooney sharing the screen again. 2024’s Wolfs was also heavily hyped for reuniting the duo, but Burn After Reading quietly pulled it off years earlier, and in far more unhinged roles.

The plot of Burn After Reading centers around a disk containing the memoirs of a retired CIA analyst, which ends up in the hands of two clueless gym employees. They think they’ve found a golden ticket and try to blackmail...

Michael B. Jordan’s reimagining of The Thomas Crown Affair is making headlines again, with Adria Arjona joining the cast. Arjona will star opposite Jordan as the film’s co-lead, replacing Taylor Russell, who Deadline says left the project on Friday due to creative differences.

Arjona will play an insurance investigator who suspects an adventurous banking executive of pulling off ambitious heists and develops a spark with him. The role takes inspiration from Faye Dunaway’s role in the Steve McQueen classic and Rene Russo’s role opposite Pierce Brosnan in the 1999 version.

Director Guillermo del Toro’s noir thriller / Best Picture nominee Nightmare Alley (watch it Here) was released into the world in December of 2021, and a black and white version of the film, called Nightmare Alley: Vision in Darkness and Light, was released soon after. Ryan Murphy has an axe to grind with Netflix. The streamer has reportedly ordered a fourth season of Murphy’s Monster anthology series, this time centered around infamous (alleged) axe murderer Lizzie Borden.

The historical figure was tried and acquitted for the murders of her father and stepmother in 1892, at which point she was ostracized by her Massachusetts community. Arlan Ruf, a promising, up-and-coming young actor, will co-star opposite Jason Bateman and David Harbour in the HBO limited series “Dtf St. Louis,” Variety has learned.

The seven-episode show comes from creator and showrunner Steven Conrad. HBO describes “Dtf St. Louis” as a dark comedy about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise — an entanglement that leads to one of them ending up dead.

Bateman has been busy since ending his run on Netflix’s crime series “Ozark.” He co-starred in the streamer’s suspense hit, “Carry On” and is working on its new limited series “Black Rabbit.” Harbour is finishing up “Stranger Things.” He will co-star in Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*,” which opens in May.

Linda Cardellini (“Freaks & Geeks”) and Oscar-nominee Richard Jenkins (“The Shape of Water”) will also star. Ruf will play the role of Richard, the socially maladjusted, delinquent stepson of Harbour’s character.

Big Love premiered on HBO in 2006 and quickly earned critical acclaim. The story of a family practicing polygamy as part of their fundamentalist religious ideals, the series examined family dynamics, trauma, faith and belief, and different forms of prejudice. Bill Henrickson, his three wives, and their numerous children grew and evolved over the course of five seasons, giving fans an intimate look at an unusual lifestyle and sparking plenty of debate about the show's themes and message. The complex drama was marked by superb writing and excellent performances from the very beginning, drawing large audiences and even attention from academics. Despite its numerous strengths, however, Big Love definitely experienced a slump in the middle of its run.

While it started strong, Big Love started to move away from what made it work by the fourth season. Focusing less on the development of the characters, it began leaning, instead, into more ridiculous plots.

The future of The White Lotus has already been revealed. It's an update that comes ahead of the show's debut of its third season next month.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, The White Lotus has been renewed at HBO for Season 4. Season 3 of the hit series will premiere on HBO and Max on Feb. 16, and fans can head into the new season knowing that there will be more. It's a sign of confidence that HBO has in the show as fans prepare for Season 3 to arrive, and giving The White Lotus an early renewal may also allow for work to begin on the next season sooner rather than later, helping with the wait time in between.

Two-time Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins is set to join a loaded cast for an upcoming HBO limited series from The Pursuit of Happiness writer Steven Conrad.

Per Variety, Jenkins has officially joined the cast for Dtf St. Louis, an HBO limited series that is currently in pre-production. Per the official logline, Dtf St. Louis is "about a love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise, that leads to one of them ending up dead." Jenkins stars alongside Jason Bateman (Ozark), David Harbour, and Linda Cardellini (Hawkeye). The limited series was originally based on a New Yorker article by James Lasdun titled, "My Dentist’s Murder Trial: Adultery, False Identities, and a Lethal Sedation" with Pedro Pascal set to star. However, Pascal has since departed the project and Dtf St. Louis is no longer based on Lasdun's piece.
