Leo Jokela was born on 24 January 1927 in Hausjärvi, Finland. He was an actor, known for Kaasua, komisario Palmu! (1961), Inspector Palmu's Error (1960) and The Stars Will Tell, Inspector Palmu (1962). He was married to Marja-Terttu Vainio and Eila Anna-Liisa Sillantie. He died on 11 May 1975 in Helsinki, Finland.

His hobby was knitting, he used to knit sweaters and socks for his
family.

Recorded a dozen comic songs in the 60s and 70s. Even though, his most
famous performance - the song &quot;Silmät tummat niin kuin syksyinen yö&quot;
(Eyes Dark as an Autumn Night) - was never recorded. It can be heard in
the film &quot;Komisario Palmun erehdys&quot; (1960) only.
