First professional television work was in the late nineteen seventies in Melbourne, Australia on "Prisoner", (Cell Block H" in the UK), as Officer Knox followed by guest roles on "The Sullivans", "Cop Shop", Skyways" and young adult series for The ABC.
Her return to New Zealand in 1982 saw her begin her NZ screen career as Dean Parker's co-conspirator girlfriend in an episode of "Mortimer's Patch" for the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation in the dramatized autobiographic story of Dean Parker and his involvement in the disruption of the broadcasting of the 1981 Rugby tour which divided the country and was the beginning of the backlash against colonization and ensuing disregard for the Treaty of Waitangi.
She was then cast in "Marching Girls" for Television New Zealand
