- The actor Herbert Kiper began his career as an operetta singer in 1914 and he was engaged on different stages in Germany, Czechoslovakia and Switzerland.
- At the age of 20 he made his film debut with the silent movie "Die Nacht der Entscheidung" (1917). It followed a longer interruption and he concentrated again to the stage before he continued his film career in the 30s.
- Besides his activity as an actor he also wrote some plays for the stage.
- AfterWorld War II he continued his career, first at the theater and from 1949 in the film business as well.
- His career came to a rest because of the rise of the National Socialists. Herbert Kiper was not allowed to work anymore and he was not able to continue his career before the end of World War II.
