Amazon Prime Video Germany has ordered comedy series “Binge Reloaded” from Redseven Entertainment, a Red Arrow Studios company.
The show will continue in the vein of popular comedy show “Switch Reloaded,” which played several years on German channel ProSieben, owned by Red Arrow’s parent company ProSiebenSat.1. Each of the eight 30-minute episodes of “Binge Reloaded” will feature short sketches, including parodies of popular streaming or TV moments, performed by a cast playing a host of German media personalities.
The cast of “Binge Reloaded” includes parody veterans Michael Kessler and Martin Klempnow, known for their appearance in “Switch Reloaded,” and newcomers Tahnee Schaffarczyk, Antonia von Romatowski, Joyce Ilg, Jan van Weyde, Paul Sedlmeir and Christian Schiffer. The show is written by Marc Löb and directed by Erik Polls, Sven Nagel and Joscha Seehausen with Georg Kappenstein as producer and Sebastian Benthues serving as executive producer.

Back in the day, Warner Bros. was known for making tough crime movies and the roster of stars — Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Edward G. Robinson, George Raft — who headlined them.
Things have changed a lot in Hollywood since the old contract-player days. However, if there’s any talent who’s identified with a particular studio at the moment, it’s Ben Affleck.
The square-jawed, 44-year-old Bostonian produced, directed and starred in Warner Bros.’ last Best Picture Oscar winner, Argo. He’s also made The Town and The Accountant for the company in the past few years. DC in the 80s is a Webzine for the DC Comics Fans with an affinity for 80s comics. It’s fun, upbeat and engaging. Justin Francoeur and Mark Belkin keep the fan fires burning with wit and a great degree of nostalgic professionalism. I’m fascinated by the their endeavor, so I reached out to discuss it with them.
Ed Catto: Can you tell me a little bit about the site and how it came about?
Justin Francoeur: My formative years of comic book reading were during the early 80s to the early-to-mid 90s. Roughly six years ago, there wasn’t much on the Internet about DC Comics from the 80s (or it was scattered all over the place and not easy to find) so I decided to make a tumblr blog specifically spotlighting the house ads of that era. There were a lot of ‘buried gems’ in that time...

From The Twilight Zone to Penny Dreadful, Doctor Who and more, Den Of Geek’s writers revisit the TV episodes that truly terrify them…
It’s Halloween! Icicles are glistening from window sills. Chestnuts are roasting on open fires. North Pole elves are… hang on, no. None of that nice, fluffy stuff is happening. At Halloween, demonic creatures hunt for flesh, monsters creep out of their graves, and TV does its level best to freak us all the hell out.
In the spirit of all that, we asked our writers to select and share the TV episodes, horror or otherwise, that have made them whimper with fear. Here they all are, 31 of them, because, well, at Halloween, we like things to add up to 31.
Note that this isn’t a Top 10, or a Best Of, nor is it listed in order of scariness. It’s a collection of the particular...

Movie merchandise is big business. But some people will try and slap the name of The Avengers or Batman on anything...
Cool film stuff can be almost as fun as actually going to the movies. Think of a Batman cape, an Arnold Schwarzenegger action figure, or Goldeneye on the N64. Hell, the merchandising can often be more enjoyable than the actual film – remember how much fun the first few months of 1999 were before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace was actually released?
Yet, in the chase to make a quick buck out of devoted fans, some... let's just say less relevant, movie merchandise is churned out and flogged to the public.
Here then are 50 of the strangest (not ranked in order!) – expect action figures of obscure henchmen, 16-carat gold Twilight jewellery and some truly vomit-inducing burgers…

When artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger teamed up to create Batman in the late 1930’s, they faced the task of creating a character who could capitalize on the pandemonium surrounding Superman, but who would nevertheless have a look and personality all his own. Kane and Finger came up with a hero who was vulnerable and relatable in a way that Superman could never be. Superman only had one real weakness, and that was kryptonite. Batman was far more complicated, and he only became more complicated over time.
Batman and his alter ego, millionaire Bruce Wayne, fought to keep the fictional city of Gotham safe. Batman didn’t have “super powers,” per se. He relied on his wits, his keen strength, and a variety of gadgets and tools that he designed for himself. The character had always been used, in one fashion or another, to comment on societal issues.

At this year’s San Diego Comic Con, most of the big DC Comics announcements came through the film or TV side of things. No films, except for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, were announced, but lots of TV shows based on DC Comics characters got trailers, teasers, and lots of buzz. But, between the no longer chain smoking British magicians, shirtless archers, and hints of Batman villains and allies showing up on Arrow, DC did make a few big comics announcements mostly having to do with Batman’s 75th anniversary.
1. “Lost” Harlan Ellison Batman Script to Become Digital Comic
To coincide with the BluRay and DVD release of the 1966 Batman television show starring Adam West and Burt Ward, DC Comics announced that an unused script by science fiction writer and editor would be made into a special digital comic called Batman ’66: The Lost Episode. It would be...

“Sometimes being alive feels like a long game of chicken on a badly-lit road.” -- Michael Marshall Smith, from the introduction to Ps Publishing's Christine Love for Stephen King’s 1983 haunted car story has always seemed a little light on the ground. It’s not that anyone ever hated Christine; it’s just that the passion with which readers discussed classic novels like The Stand or The Shining or recent books like Bag of Bones or 11/22/63 seemed to pass Christine by. During King’s most popular decade, the novel failed to hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list (though #2 isn’t exactly a struggle for chart success.) Literary critic and King expert Dr. Michael R. Collings once referred to Christine as a “minor” novel, especially in comparison to the major statement of Pet Sematary, also released that year. Yet in the thirty-plus years since the book was published, Christine has become a cultural touchstone.

I’ve gone on record many times about how I enjoy much of DC Comics’ digital line. I’ve even been snotty enough to note that, unlike much of The New 52, these titles are quite readable and are DC’s saving grace. So I’ll take it one step further.
One of these weekly digital titles is called Adventures of Superman. Yes, I realize it’s not the first comic book (let alone teevee or radio show) to employ this name. This doesn’t matter. Like DC’s digital Legends of the Dark Knight weekly, each story is by a separate creative team and said stories usually run across several “issues.”
If you’re thinking about sampling, let me strongly recommend the three-part story that was just completed (Adventures of Superman numbers 31, 32 and 33). The story is called “The Dark Lantern” (yes, I will not be surprised when DC does “The...

We’re back with another edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes DVD release details for Shiver, information on the Mile High Horror Film Festival, an exclusive excerpt from Dead is Only Skin Deep, a Q&A with 13-year-old Emily Diprimio for Carver, and more:
Q&A Interview with Up-and-Coming 13-Year-Old Filmmaker Emily Diprimio
by Heather Wixson
It’s not often that you run across aspiring genre directors who are still in their teens so when we discovered a brand new Kickstarter campaign for Carver, an upcoming indie slasher from the filmmaking team of Ron Diprimio and his 13-year-old daughter Emily Diprimio, we immediately took notice.
In the campaign, the Diprimios’ describe Carver as, “a throwback 80’s style slasher that follows a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger.

Sunday isn't normally the most eventful day at Comic-Con. Things are coming to a close and people that have been there the full four days are getting tired. But there is still some cool stuff to see! We might have to stick around a little longer this time around because there's stuff I want to see!
Sunday brings us panels for Breaking Bad, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary, Under the Dome, Community, Sons of Anarchy, and more!
Here are a few noteworthy panels for Sunday, but to see the full line-up click here. What panels are you excited about attending?

The High School Of Art & Design (A&D) was where I studied illustration and where countless great comic book, animation and illustration artists learned their craft, including Carmine Infantino, John Romita Sr., Dick Giordano, Ralph Bakshi, Neal Adams, Larry Hama, Denys Cowan, Mark Texeira, Malcolm Jones III, Frank Brunner, Jimmy Palmiotti, Joe Jusko, Mike Carlin and Ralph Reese. That list goes on but A&D also produced many others of note in various areas such as fashion and music: Calvin Klein and Tony Bennett are A&D alumni along with a myriad of badass mofos. I’ve written about A&D before as it certainly has played an important part in the comics industry and has for many decades. A&D is the backdrop for this piece, but that’s pretty much the extent of the industry tie in. This piece is about a love story and A&D is...

We’re getting closer and closer to the release of Iron Man 3, and I am freaking stoked. Iron Man is one of my favorite comic characters, and Robert Downey, Jr. has done such an incredible job of bringing Tony Stark to life on the big screen. From Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and The Avengers, these movies have shown that they really understand the character and are doing their hardest to make the best possible adaptation of old Shellhead. And now, after Iron Man set the bar and The Avengers raised it, Iron Man 3 looks poised to take things to the next level.
The trailers so far have shown us that director Shane Black is mining a whole lot of stories from the comics in order to put this film together. Already, we know that Iron Man 3 borrows elements from the Extremis story-arc, that it introduces the...
