Halina Kossobudzka
Actress. The outbreak of the war prevented her from taking up studies at the Warsaw Institute of Film Art. In September 1939 she was involved in the Grodzienski Theater team, later transformed into a Polish Theater BSRR led by Aleksander Wegierka. In 1944 she continued her performances in Bialystok, then she went to Lublin, and was involved in the Theater of the Polish Army. With the band of this theater through Kraków and Kartowice she arrived in Lódz in 1945, where she performed until 1948. In the 1948/49 season she was in the team of the Lodz's Theater Intimate Soldier's House. In 1949, she moved to Warsaw with this band and after being transformed into Teatr Wspólczesny, she remained connected to it until 1967. In the years 1967-76 she was in the Ateneum Theater, in 1976-83 the Polish Theater and then the National Theater (1983- 90). In the 1980s she became involved in public activities and was a member of the National Council of the Patriotic Movement of National Revival.
