Broadway veteran Kevin Kraft grew up intermittently around the D.C. area, having been born into a nomadic military family whose sparsely dispersed duty stations had him traveling through 35 states and attending 7 schools by the 10th grade. He then ran away to become the youngest clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which traveled him to several additional states by train. Eventually, he ran away from the circus to join a University, USC in Los Angeles, where he earned a BFA in Acting. In his theatre appearances he has driven across country 9 times since, visiting even more states.

His Circus background led him to be asked by Rob Marshall's to be his pre-production physical comedy consultant for the Broadway revival production of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (directed by Jerry Zaks). He was then subsequently asked to be in the cast and performed with Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg and David Alan Grier. Kevin also worked with James Lapine on "The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. He worked as a theatre actor both on and Off-Broadway, regionally & internationally - acting, singing, dancing (passably) and, of course, juggling. Kevin's comic and circus physical comedy background led him to appear in the features "The Nanny Diaries", "Ed", and "Dunston Checks and the TV shows "What Would You Do?", "The Late Show with David Letterman", and as the late night programming Host for "Showtime Nighttime".

His dramatic on camera appearances include MOW "Kiss of a Killer", "Rebels and Redcoats" (BBC & PBS), "All My Children", "Last Chance Detectives" Video Series.

Shakespeare lured him onto the road again where he had the opportunity to play Orlando in "As You Like It" with the Tony Award winning "The Acting Company". The tour completed his visitations, this time by bus, to all of the 48 continental states (and a Canadian province or two.)

Regional Theatre credits including Arena Stage, The Actors Theatre of Louisville, Asolo Rep and the Julliard born The Acting Company. Internationally Kevin originated the role of Houdini co-produced by the Montreal Jazz Festival, and performed in Japan and China doing circus arts. Kevin's musical talents have had him play the Lute, Guitar, Mexican Bass, Greek Bazouki and Harmonica in various productions.

Kevin's experiences during his travels have informed his Audiobook narration for three New York Times Best Selling authors and "The Detective Green Mystery" series which twice won the Arthur Ellis Award.

Kevin was formerly married to Broadway dancer and David Copperfield assistant Holly Raye, and as of 2022 live in the NYC area raising their son.

A cancer survivor, in his spare time, Kevin ran marathons and triathlons (and was in the national campaign for Asics Shoes), composes music, juggles and tries not to get demolished by his son in driveway basketball. Oh, and he has now visited all 50 states multiple times each, having finally checked Hawaii and Alaska off his list, visiting by plane, cruise ship and Aircraft Carrier. (Yes, Aircraft Carrier).

As 0f 2022, Kevin is working on visiting all the continents. (Only 4 more to go...)
